Salt cravings

Filed under: Uncategorized — Karess @ 6:43 am

Last week I noticed that I was craving for Knorr Seasoning. Eeek! What a scary thought. I’m having salt cravings again today and decided to do a little research on that, which I found here:

If you are craving salt as a result of being accustomed to consuming a lot of salt with your foods or enjoying lots of salty foods like potato chips, salted nuts etc., then slowly cut back on your salt intake and replace it with herbs and spices to give you lots of flavor without the salt.

*gulp* Oh yeah, now I feel REALLY guilty.

I have a confession to make: I used to eat at least a bag of chips a day. A DAY. It was crazy. I used to think that snacking on monosodium glutamate would enable me to think, only to realize that my body was not getting any benefits from all the junk I was putting in.

The last time I ate chips was last Sunday, with a bunch of friends, while watching a movie. I only got a handful of curly Cheetos, which was three large pieces, and nothing more (I got really small hands, see).

Eeeeek! I’m more convinced to really cut back on the junk food this time around.

I have resolved to brisk-walk three times a week now. :)
