Poring over these lists, and a teeny update.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Karess @ 6:41 am

So I’m reading through this list and this interesting article and I realize how valuable having an online life is.

I am comforted by the fact that I can still eat the things that I like :D The key to doing this is eating in moderation.

=====

I bought today’s sandwich at a donut place in our office building, and the chocolatey goodness of all those calorie-filled monstrosities were staring straight at me. And I was not at all. . . affected.

I think the whole diet thing isn’t really about an issue with our tummy, but an attitude issue. If we think that the cake, cookies, and chips will make us happy, chances are, they won’t.

I’m amazed. It isn’t just my dieting habits that are changing, but my mindset as well.

======

So far, I’ve eaten / drank:

  • Corned beef hash, fried egg, one cup of rice
  • A ham and bacon sandwich on white bread with lots of lettuce, cucumber, and tomatoes, and
  • A cup of organic coffee.

I want me some fruits :( The bananas I grabbed from our refrigerator are overripe. I had to throw them out on my way to work. Boo.

I want a watermelon shake.

=======

What’s surprising with the little that I’ve eaten is this: I am not mondo hungry. Last Monday was suicide, and today was just . . . fine.

Surprisingly, too, last night’s dinner was a bowl of corn flakes with bananas, and I wasn’t ravenously hungry when I work up this morning.

Oh yeah. Progress is always a beautiful thing.
